Refer to your washing machine’s manual to find the hidden switch. It is usually located near the bottom or back of the machine.
Turn on the Hidden Switch:
Activate the switch to drain any dirty water from the machine. This helps remove accumulated dirt and bacteria.
Clean the Drum:
Pour 2 cups of white vinegar into the drum.
Run a hot water cycle to help disinfect and remove any odors.
Clean the Detergent Drawer:
Remove the detergent drawer and soak it in warm, soapy water.
Use an old toothbrush to scrub away any residue.
Wipe Down the Exterior:
Use a microfiber cloth dampened with vinegar or a mild cleaner to wipe down the exterior of the machine.
Clean the Rubber Seal:
Check the rubber seal around the door for any trapped dirt or mold.
Wipe it down with a cloth soaked in vinegar.
Run a Baking Soda Cycle:
Add 1 cup of baking soda to the drum.
Run another hot water cycle to further clean and deodorize the machine.
Final Rinse:
Run a final rinse cycle with just water to ensure all cleaning agents are removed.
Leave the Door Open:
After cleaning, leave the washing machine door open to allow it to air dry and prevent mold growth.
